Sydney band Starcrazy, the contemporary glam rockers with inherent retro leanings, are focused on maximum impact when they launch their self-titled album, STARCRAZY, on October 18th. This release successfully transports the fire & glitter of their live performances into the recording studio with no loss of heat or dynamic & allows the band & their individual attributes to shine.
Only four years into their career, Starcrazy have hit significant highs, building momentum with a consistent and impressive output of celebrated releases. Their 2021 EP Played For Suckers and their 2023 EP Another Day, Another Squalor... have already landed them sold-out shows, opening spots for The Animals, Faster Pussycat, Wednesday 13 and Hard Ons, placements on national television programs, and acclaim from both fans and critics. There's no sign of slowing down.
The upcoming offering, their first full-length album, builds on foundations laid by meshing elements of 70's Glam Rock, Power-Pop and 80's Alternative Metal in a catchy blend, resulting in a fresh take on older styles. Shout-out-loud pop vocal melodies, rock inspired pomp, and much attitude are sprinkled throughout a landscape of brash riffs and groovy beats. Insightful song lyrics twist universally relatable themes into knots, captivating listeners for the album's 38-minute runtime.
